Robert L McGuire "Linebacker" from Cave Creek, AZ wrote on 10/08/2021 at 2:00 pm
Greetings Boss Skinner, Brothers, Prospects, & Support. I thought it would be a great time to introduce myself to members outside of the local Phoenix, AZ group. After a a very rewarding career in the Military mostly in the Intelligence community, then straight into Law Enforcement leading me to the Department of Homeland Security for the last12 years. I'm now just one bad day from retirement. I've been riding motorcycles for around 60 years with our first 2 wheeler on the ranch was a tote goat. After trying almost every motorcycle made at one time or another I now ride a Blue 2020 Indian Challenger Limited. Before this I was riding a 2017 Harley Electra Glide Ultra Limited. That transition is a story all into its self. I was born and raised in Eastern Washington "Yakima". I road and showed Quarter Horses in western pleasure, halter and all-around radio events until I was older and ready to ride a cutting horse. I played football from the second I was eligible for Grid Kids and I didn't look back until my second year in Army Rec league were I played Linebacker/Free safety and now you know were I got the Codename "Linebacker" first given to me by my head instructor prior to deploying from the schoolhouse, then when asked what I wanted as a my UC callsign in Law Enforcement I naturally said "Pop tart" just kidding and now NVP Steamer has seen fit to let me keep it thank you Steamer it has a lot of adventures associated with it. I'm married to Andrea K. McGuire, she works at the VA. I asked her what to say about her and she said and I quote "I love to ride long and hard behind you (me) not you guys" with 5 kids of my own and 2 amazing boys from Andrea I am honored to call my sons. 2 of my boys followed me into the Army one is a 35M Human Intelligence Collector and the other is an 18C Special Forces Engineer serving on an A team at Fort Carson, CO. My other kids are very accomplished as well. I have 6 grandkids that I can't get enough of. So now I'm off for a ride. I hope you all get to enjoy a 3 day weekend and you are all healthy, safe and relaxing.
