Greetings Brothers, Supports, Prospects and well wishers!
Well here I am back in Pocatello. Not the first time since 2011, but the first time back at what was the Cottontree Inn. Different name, different people, same building. Oh, and the lounge is STILL CLOSED!!!
Singer and I had dinner at Applebee's. I raised a glass to our GBNF Brother Slingblade. Lots of memories, great ones, of this place and that time.
Skinner's and my 'ride through Hell' to get here, meeting Brothers Dutch and Slingblade.
The Harley shop here closed some time ago. I'd hoped to get a photo of me there and post it along with a remembrance for Slingblade, but not to be I guess.
The best part for me, was finding an MC that a) I felt I could really be a part of. and b) more importantly, finding an MC that accepted me without reservation and as a full equal to every other Brother in the Club.
Many other Clubs, Veteran, Viet-Nam Vet and 'civilian' Clubs would have, and did, turn down my membership request based on my background. I was elated, proud and above HONORED to be accepted by men I looked up to as heroes. I KNOW, none of you will claim that title, but from me you have it. Every one of you.
Thank you Brother, Much Love and Respect to each and every one of you.
