Greetings and Salutations to all Brothers, Supporters, Reporters, Cavorters, and those who look on in wild wonder!
All is well here, planning the future, dreaming of the days ahead, taking care of business and always keeping my Brothers in mind, heart, and soul.
What a wild trip September has been so far- fires, hurricanes, smoke so thick you could taste it in your sleep. The wild fires are taking away our forests by the thousands a day, and recovery will be in generations, not seasons.
The weather wonks are saying the saving rains will happen this weekend-the wait has been long for those heroic firefighters on the line, and I hope for them a wet reward for their efforts to contain and save whole communities from the curtain of flames descending upon them day after day.
I hope the hurricane heroes, the everyday guys and gals, a speedy recovery, and the lesson of material things- "Never cry over something that will never cry over you."
The examples in Texas and Florida is the stuff of legends- the true American spirit and the real character of our nation, unreported in daily attacks by the Media to discourage our pride and appreciation for this unique country and it's people.
As the saying goes, "It don't mean nothin' drive on!"
I need to encourage all to keep moving forward, appreciate the past, but don't dwell too long there- it's your history , a part of living that brought you where you are today- now is all that matters, we're only here between heartbeats.
I celebrate whenever Brothers beat a diagnosis, face the storm and come out smiling, or relays everyday chores completed and rides accomplished.
This guestbook is our clubhouse- keep the conversation going.
As the Fall chill approaches, I wish all a warm bed, a belly well fed, and a dry spot for your ride in the shed!
LLRBF,
Brother Sling Blade
