Good evening Boss, all my Brothers, Prospects and Supports! I have been tardy in my posts for which I do apologize! I made the move from beautiful Montana back to Idaho for the winter. It was with many mixed emotions. The wind is howling this evening and what’s left of the leaves is now on the ground. I have been riding as often as possible. This past year has been full of great times with my Brothers. I play back the Northwest spring run and National run I made with Brother Dutch almost everyday! What runs they were! Thank you all my Brothers for the great times we had. I hope all of you are doing good. Brother Grumpy is always in my thoughts and prayers. I have no idea what is in store for the future but I hope to see everyone in the new year! Stay safe my Brothers! LLRBF BD

OK I am going to try again. Good Afternoon Boss Skinner, also to our Vice President, our Regional Presidents, also all the Patched Brothers, Prospects, and to our great Support teams.

This time about two years ago I came across a motorcycle club guest book. I started reading some of the entries. What was wrote in these short letters impressed me enough to ask if I could become a prospect with them. To my surprise the local president, was someone I had worked for almost twenty years. We also lived only a few miles apart.

I enjoyed my prospect time with the patched brothers from this region. I had a great time at our spring run. To finally meet some of the guys that had wrote the stories in the guest book. I was impressed with them, as much as what they wrote.

I think I started my spring run a little early, well the summer run for nationals kind of got off on an early start also. Radio, and I left home the 13 of April. We road to Portland, Or. Where we picked up another Prospect Draco? This got one of the major requirements out of the way. From that point on I was on my own until our spring run, and that was the start of my 3 mo. 11000 mile bike ride. On this ride I rode through 19 states, 5 more than once. I can’t say this was ever on my bucket list, but I am glade it made it there anyway.

Jest before this trip started it was my birthday, and my daughter asked me how old I was. I told her 77. She looked at me for a moment, then said no you are over ¾ of a century old, and you want to do this. It only took a second to replay. If I wait another year I may not be able to do it.

This ride let me ride with men I wish I had known all my life. When they use the term “BROTHER” it comes from the hearts of every one of them. Even as a prospect I was shown that this group of people really do care about you. Late one night after becoming a prospect I started feeling that I would become a millstone around the necks of the members of this club due to my Parkinson. I wrote boss Skinner asking him to withdraw my application for membership. This man answered me back a whole lot faster than I can type. You are a Nam Vet Brother, and you need a better reason than that. No man is left behind. If we need to pick you up in a car, we will do it. Thank you Boss Skinner, and thank you to the rest of the members that helped me feel accepted.

I could go on, and on because I have jest scratched the surface. I think I have wrote enough for tonight. Keep the rubber down, and ride on brothers! KILO

Greetings Boss Skinner, Officers, Patched Members, Support and fellow Prospects.

Good morning from AZ, we are all busy getting ready for winter and welcoming back the snowbirds. After a summer of riding straight into a hairdryer at 115 degrees we are happy to report we all made it. On a more personal note most of the guys here in the Southwest Region know I've been a bachelor for about 7 months with my wife Andrea stuck working in Seattle awaiting a job transfer with the VA. Now the good news I will be flying up on the 4th and bringing my amazing bride home for good. She was able to get a remote position and will start on the 7th continuing her career with the VA in the HR department. So I thought I needed to introduce her so when you meet her she's isn't a stranger. Born Andrea Karen Kumsak her father Frank a Vietnam veteran some of you local have seen on the Saturday run to Wickenburg. Andrea grew up in Washington State working in the funeral business and she was the Director of a100 plus room assisted living complex in Kennewick, WA.

We have been married for 12 years and have 7 kids between us that we love equally. Andrea worked for The Department of Homeland Security in the HR department for 8 year before before joining the VA.

Andrea loves riding with me, she is an avid sightseer and has no desire to take control of her own bike. One thing for sure she is love by most that meet her and she is kind and helpful to everyone no matter the need. I hope you all have the opportunity to meet her in person.

Have a great weekend!

Hello to all. I've been out here in Durham N.C. last week and half. I was in the Durham N.C. V.A. Hospital with bad lower back pain and it turned out to be a Kidney Stone. Talking about hurting, rolling on the floor kinda pain, man it took 5 days to move from the Kidney to the bladder. Now it just needs to make it's way out. There is always a Spiritual side to everything, " Let the stone Roll Away ". Will be driving back across country to Wichita Falls, Texas in morning. Can't wait to get home and see the wife. Blessings to each of you my Brothers. RevMrBlack NAM VETS MC NOMADS National Chaplain

Greetings Boss Skinner, Officers, Patched Members, Support and Prospects.
Fall is finally here but it’s not too furious yet. Mid 50’s for highs is still good riding weather, so I’m happy.
Fostering 3 puppies for 3 weeks until they reach the 8 week plateau so they can be “altered” and adopted. They are quite the handful and typically need out about every 2 hours to relieve themselves. Thank goodness the nights after 10 haven’t been too bad, usually 2 times per night. They are well behaved and doing well and will make good pets for some lucky people.
Other than that, and a few aches and pains, things are pretty calm. Hope this message finds everyone in good spirits and good health.

Greetings Boss Skinner, Patched Members, Prospects, & Support.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. AZ was perfect riding weather high 70's light breeze mostly sunny. Saturdays breakfast ride with Boogie and the crew was perfect with lots of great conversation and comradery. Afterwards my wife Andrea and I covered about 220 miles riding south and then north on HWY 87 through the Tonto National Forest to Payson, AZ. The thing I wanted to share is the amazing views going north and then coming back south. The road keeps you climbing going north with what looks like a sea of cactus that goes forever in the valleys and over the rolling hills like ocean waves.

We have seen a little rain lately and so the landscape is greener then normal and as you go further north you start to ride into the forest and it becomes greener and even more peaceful and majestic. Imagine your riding on a separated four lane highway with very few travelers and the traffic drops off even more the further north you get.

We found an excellent Asian restaurant in Payson and a old fella that wanted to talk motorcycles "it doesn't get much better".

So I hope by describing this ride that I assure you is only one of hundreds of beautiful and exciting rides available in central AZ. I can only hope this ignites a fire in your NOMAD spirit and you except an open invitation to fined your way to Arizona and join me and others for a ride to remember.

Stay safe, ride hard and keep the fire burning

Greetings Boss Skinner, patched members and supporters. Bought a 2019 Triglide came with a stage 4 kit 131 huge and a gas hog 25 miles a gal. Complained to a brother who had a 2019 stock 114 he wanted my engine so we are going to swap. Wife loves the comfort of the air ride seats and the sounds. We had plans on attending Las Vegas Bike Fest this year but it was canceled again. Laughlin River Run is almost non existent anymore. A couple of friends of mine and myself got together the 1st of May and did our own Run For The Wall. Rain all the way there and back ha ha. The Wall is an experience I would recommend for all. This is Boogie out

Greetings Boss Skinner, Patched Members, Prospects, & Support. Wayne I really am impressed and envious. I know there's more to the story and I hope I'm standing around listening to it at National. I also agree you have earned the "iron ass patch". Have a great winter.

Greetings Boss Skinner, Patched Members, Prospects, & Support. Happy Friday to all, I've been reading on guestbook about members and family that have fallen sick or on bad times and I wanted to know if NAM VETS has a sick call roster that we can go to and see a list of those that have fallen on bad times?

I know if we had a drop down to view and or leave our information we may be able to do more with our thoughts, prayers, well wishes or whatever your heart tells you for those that we can help. I would suggest for those not wanting their name out they could ask it be left off and only Admin would have that information.

After writing this I started thinking it would be worthwhile telling you what started this epiphany. I was thinking about the friends I've lost over the years and I realized how many of them have died and I didn't know about it for month or even years that they were gone from our lives. I was surprised to learn how many struggled with illness for months or even years and I didn't know about it and I didn't provide help, comfort or even a prayer for them or their families. Now as I start this new journey with all of you, I want to be there in whatever way I can as we ride hard, fast and tight all the way up the stairway to heaven. I hope it's a long ways down the road for us all. God bless you all and have a safe and restful weekend!

Greetings Boss Skinner, Patched Members, Prospects, & Support. Good evening from a cool and windy AZ. I wanted to share my thoughts on becoming a patched member of Nam Vets MC. Interestingly in my teens I was exposed to a MC in Whiley City as you can guess they where 1%ers and I had no idea what they were all about. But I was friends with several of the younger Hang Arounds and Prospects. The President was one crazy SOB but he liked my older brother and me and I really liked their patch and the cool name. Needless to say I didn't become a member for a number of reasons mainly because I entered the service and secondly the Chapter President and some of the members were arrested and sent to prison on weapons charges.

So for most of my life, I've worn patches from the Army, Law Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security. All great patches that I worked hard to earn, treasure, adorn my uniforms with and wear them with pride and honor. I shared these beliefs with my brothers and sisters in arms.

The one thing missing after so many years was my brothers and sisters acceptance of me as an NCO, Leader, Mentor, Roll model and someone they could come to in times of need. Once this was for the most part behind me I experienced a long and scary spiral into silence, frustration and the over all feeling I wasn't accepted or wanted in society.

Then one day I was forced to start the long hard road to recovery. So with the help of my wife and family over the last couple of years, I opened up to my wife and my 2 son's that have and are serving. My wife told me I needed to make friends join a group and so with the encouragement and reinforcement of my boys I became a Legionnaire and then a Legion Rider.

I felt like I started the bumpy road to understanding my personal fears. Then it happen thanks to a man I quickly respected and trusted Boogie "Dan" a fellow Legion Rider. It turned out his out reach to any brother or sister that enjoys fellowship and good food he opened his arms and invites them all to ride with him and others nearly every Saturday on a breakfast run to Wickenburg, AZ mainly to the Horseshoe Cafe. And so that next Saturday I found myself riding with an amazing group of fellow warriors that made me feel better after every ride.

Then something totally unexpected happened I was invited to coffee and a meal with the local Nam Vets lead by now NVP and "yes I will kiss ass" an amazing friend to all, leader and fine gentleman "Steamer" and a group of honorable men that I now feel safe with and I look forward to seeing as often as possible on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Now let me tell you why besides the things I've pointed out I wanted to say all of this tonight. The Patch of the NAM VETS MC is sign of a brotherhood and inspiration to others and a way to help others from our collective experiences. If a man like me facing demons every day and night can find a safe haven with the Nam Vets, I would suggest all of us know others that need the very same help and friendship. So please reach out to them and follow the lead of Steamer, FUBAR, Boogie, GearBox, NotRob, Rob, TinMan and the rest of the group.

Thank you all across the nation for your service. WELCOME HOME and may God bless every one of you.

Others in the class of 59-75 boots on the ground and ERA are waiting to join us on this deployment. Lets all once again answer the call and ruck up, soldier up and lead the way and bring them home to their brothers and sisters at NAM VETS MC.

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM A WARRIOR I WILL BE PROUD TO CALL BROTHER
Wayne Watts kilo from Bow wrote on 10/09/2021 at 11:27 pm
My respects to Boss,to our Vice President, our Regional Presidents, my Patched Brothers, Prospects, and our Support members. Sorry I had to cut it short the other night. I have been running on to little sleep. This summer was one of the best I have had in a long time. When I made it to Phoenix and met the Nam Vets that live in that area, I found that the Brotherhood is everywhere you go, not just where you live. The ride I went on this summer was three months and two days. Almost eleven thousand miles, and one of the best times ever.
Any possible Prospects that read this fill out your paperwork, come to Nationals, and meet this Nam Vet MC Brothers. They are your Brothers. Ride with this group a little while, and you will see what I am talking about. I am going to close now hitting the wall again. Ride safe Brothers. Kilo
