Hi everyone! I'm one of the lucky few. So far there has been only one case of COVID-19 in the county I live in. The only restriction we have is you have to keep a distance of 6ft between you and other shoppers in Walmart. Poor Twin went back to Wichita Falls to check on his house and do some book work and got caught in a shelter in place. Don't know what we'll do for our first legal anniversary, it falls on Sunday. I'm afraid if I go to Wichita they might try to keep me. LOL.
On a brighter note we are looking for a buyer for my bike. Shouldn't be to hard...THEN I will get a really cool looking trike. It's red and looks like Mickie's first trike. I just hope the guy still has it when I can get it, it's been on Craigslist for over 30 days so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Oh well, I've bored you all long enough with my rambling, stay safe out there.

Good Day to all the brothers’ prospects and everyone. I hope everyone is doing OK.
I’m new to the club but not new to the M/C. Been riding Harleys and Indians for many many years and got the scars to prove it LOL. I spent 20 years in the Army retired in 1985 boy that was a long time ago. My wife is from Maine so that’s where I ended up. Worked for Paper Company till 2008 then retired.
I see we might not have a national this year. I am still hoping and praying that all this is over with before nationals. I want to meet everyone in person. And it’s one good ride from Maine to the nationals. Now that my sidecar is finished I can bring all kinds of comfort stuff. Mainer and I will be riding together we do some long trips together last one was to Texas. Everyone ride safe.

Ray Koch was in the process of growing a third leg to kick my butt with for not fulfilling my requirement of bimonthly communicating. I glossed over that part, and just didn't pay attention to detail, I was focused on the part about the meeting in June in Piedmont. That is not an excuse, it is just what happened.
Things in LA are probably no different than where you are. When I was asked about coming to the national meeting, I was in the mists of flying or riding. I now know I need to change bikes if I'm gonna ride. My Gold Wing, FB6, is just to tight to ride 2K on it. I put on foot boards
and had the seat worked on, and mounted flip-out hyway pegs on the engine cases. I gotta tell ya', when I look at that group picture I see all the guys in my Helo squadron...I was in the first Helicopter Squadron in the M/C, HMM 362, (UH 34, Sikorsky) and I was the first black helo crew chief in the crotch. And since we're into ancient history, I was one of the the last Marines to go through boot camp at, "Montford Point," at Camp Lejeune. (Go to, "First Black Marines") or ("Montford Point Marines").
I started riding in the 60's in Iwakuni Japan and have pretty much been riding since then, I got my share of road rash, and broken bones, from the time when I was too stupid to know gas and booze do not mix well. All of my bikes have been touring bikes, a half dozen full dress Hogs, and some rice burners. I don't what made me think this short quartered FB6 would work??
This Corona crap reminds me of Typhoon season on Okinawa when we pushed the lockers up against the windows in preparation for the "big blow," only this time approaching getting Cabin Fever.
I'm outta' here guys, talk at ya' soon...Hands

Greeting and Salutations to all Brothers, Prospects, Support, and Onlookers!
Well, the hurry up and wait continues as a new obstacle gets cleared. I guess we are ground zero out here in Waah-shington, and the soft martial law continues with pot shops on the essential services list by the governor.
Enough of the current topic, I'm focusing on the road ahead.
March 29th is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, WELCOME HOME!
I need to say how proud and honored I am to walk among you all and be included as a Brother. Major Michael O'Donnell's poem always comes to me at this time, he was KIA months after it's writing in 1970;
"If you are able, save them a place inside you,
And save one backward glance when you are leaving,
for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them,
though you may, or may not have always.
Take what they have left, and what they have
taught you with their dying, and keep it as your own.
And in that time that when men decide, and feel safe,
to call the war insane, take one moment,
to embrace these gentle heroes you left behind."
That's what we do when we put on The Cut, it's colors, and who it represents. The same is true when we ride and remind all who see us that the war will never be forgotten, who fought in it, and those gone but not forgotten.
We are fulfilling that promise and educating anyone we talk to.
We'll get this year done as we always have, with Love, Respect, and Brotherhood.
I wish all a life with no fear, plenty of beer, and always full of cheer!
LLRBF,
Sling Blade NSAA

Greetings Officers, Patchholders, Prospects and fellow Support!

Spring has sprung in Beckley, West Virginia! Neighbors are out prepping their garden beds and mowing their yards, kids are out playing, flowers are starting to bloom and trees are budding out! All wonderful signs of life and time going along normally.

In these times of abnormality, it's calming to see somethings don't change!

Doc got back safely and healthy from his trip north! I was so thrilled to see his face, he probably thought I was going to squeeze the stuffing out of him! LOL

All is quiet in our AO... COVID-19 has started making its rounds throughout WV, but the Beckley VAMC has been free of illness thus far. Will pray that continues and that our Veterans in house stay COVID-free.

That's it for now. May you all stay safe and healthy and ride with the wind at your backs!

a great morning Boss Skinner, officers, patched members, Doc Gonzo, fellow prospects & support
Hoping this day finds everyone in great health.
finding out staying in during this crisis isn't all that bad, it's like being on vacation,or retired, hey wait a minute I am retired, oh well, living the dream.
gonna try and get the scooter to the bike shop today to get the new tires put on, temp is around 40 right now at 9am, supposed to get to about 52, we'll see, but 61 tomorrow and rain.
so far none of my friends or family have contracted the covid-19, so glad. been watching a ton of movies and I should be doing unfinished work I have and I keep putting it off, got that retired attitude, you know, I'll get it tomorrow, no rush, lol
BTW I got my prospect patches but don't know when I'll be able to get my vest to the cleaners to get them sewn on, soon I hope.
Take care all, stay healthy, see ya on the flipside

Greetings Patch holders, Support, Prospects and Lookers interested in who we are.
Ya'll be keeping the Faith in the midst of all this uncertainty, we been thru much worse being the Nam Vets we are, hunkering down and putting up a winning fight we've done before.
Here in Idaho we can still get out and ride and do the necessities as needed keeping our distance to help protect each other from this virus going around.
My prayers for each of us stay healthy and safe as we endure this time, and none of this keeps us from our Regional and Natl Runs this year. We got Prospects in waiting. Proud of each one showing your metal to join our Brotherhood.
Let's keep in touch and encouragement extended as we fight this head on.
On the bright side "PT postponed till further notice." Lol
Stay Healthy

Greetings All!

Just a quick HOWDY ALL,

up in MI visiting Lori.

Figure Friday I'll drive (ya, I'm cagin' it this time) down and meet up with Wall Street. Monday I'm headed to Zoot's, probably overnight there then on to Digger's to say hi to them, then head for home.

Hopefully they won't have stopped interstate travel by then, if they do, I'll have to retreat back to Lori's and hole up till it's over I guess.

Anyway, that's what's happening in my AO.

Peace out

To all Patchholders, Supports, and Prospects.
I hope this finds you well and in good humor.
As for the wife and I we eat out most evenings.
Not lately though all the bars and good spots to eat
are closed til Apr. 1st.
Rain and rain again, so knees in the breeze is out.
Can you say Grumpy, I'm not a home body.
My vent for today.
Love and Respect to all.

Good Morning, Boss Skinner, Officers, patched members, fellow prospects & support
Hope this entry finds everyone in great health,
Got a call from Grumpy yesterday, first time talking to him and it was a pleasure for sure. for those of you who don't have and need my phone number, (412)613-1349, know that I don't answer numbers that I don't recognize, so make sure you leave a message.
Just want to shout out to Doc Gonzo, I understand you were under the weather a little last week, hope that's past and your up and at em.
As for me I'm finally feeling pretty damn good, now to keep that damn pandemic away from my doors would be awesome, being retired is great but especially great when you don't have to face the likes of a demon like covid-19.
got two new tires for my scoot, they came out of Philly UPS which freaked me out a little, several case of covid-19 were found there, we'll see, I bought Metzlers this time, I had Shimkos this last time and I was impressed with the millage, 5k plus on the front and 4k plus on the rear, hoping the Metzlers will out perform the Shimkos.
Don't know about all of you out your way, but the bald headed eagle Governor Of Pa. Tom Wolf (in cheaps clothing) ordered that all bars, restaurants and nonessential business's closed for two weeks, I don't think this is long enough or will prevent a bigger outbreak. craziness, people are hoarding everything, hey if I have to I'll do what the bears do..
Oh well I've said enough, you all take care and be safe, be talking to you soon
