Hello, Boss Skinner, patched members, fellow prospects & support..
it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, the sun is shining, it's 72 at 12:45 pm and I'm ready for a ride anywhere in the burgh..
Talked to Grumpy and Doc Gonzo yesterday, they were going to ride up to Ill. to patch in prospect Thumper, I wish I could have made the ride, but due to not having a sitter for Wilson, and having to attend a very important meeting at my American Legion post 538 Fort Black, I'd be there in a heart beat. sad to say the meeting is to determine whether or not we should keep out post running, we consist of guys my age and a couple of young guys who are all the members of our VFW, we have little to no income and the bills keep growing, it was a great hangout for me, because a few of my classmates are members and I get to see them often, the main reason people come is for sports and cheap drinks and only on the weekends, our post reached the grand ole age of 100 in 2019..
Hey boss I relayed to Doc that D9 ( Daneen ) and I will be at the national next year..
not much going on my AO, looking forward to our 4th of July weekend for two reason, 1. we get to spend quality time with good friends and 2. I will wear my cut to let other NamVet bikes about our brotherhood..
well until my next entry, peace, love and good will to you all

BROTHERS,SUPPORT AND PROSPECTS;

My rant for the time being is I hate not being able to make those PATCH IN CEREMONIES.My riding days are still in the future because I have no idea how the radiation is going to effect me and nobody else can say for sure either.I have made some short runs<one with LAAM ,was longest so far.Legs and feet can't seem to get the rhythm right just yet.Strength there is not yet back and that can be a real problem when you put legs out to hold you up.
On a up note thanks out to all for stepping up and taking care of BUSINESS.
Happy FATHERS day stay safe we have a large bar-be -que planned at daughters house.

Greetings to all Patch Holders, Prospects and Friends of the club. Had a talk with Grumpy this morning on the landline. Going to meet up for sit down next week. Looking forward to it. Everything in my AO looking good, nothing to report at this time. The weather is warm and the wind is blowing soft and Thunder is ready to roll. This is Thumper, over and out. NVFFNV.

Greetings; to our President, and all regional Presidents, Prospects, and supporters. Today is a good day, because yesterday I became a member of the NAM VETS! Steamer rode 500 miles to present my patches and certificate of membership. And I have to also say, about Steamers bike, I think he must have had a smile on his face for every mile he covered because the look and sound of his wheel would make a rock grin.
The respect I've been shown by addressing me as, "Mr." Hands is appreciated, but unwarranted. Just, "
Hands" is fine, thank you very much.
I am hard pressed to say how I really feel as a result of your congratulatory welcoming in this brotherhood of Nam Vets. In the Marine Corps. in the 60's I was one of six guys, Snake, Fritz, Habu, Spider, Pete, and Hands. We were called, the Animals. I got a Summary Court Martial for coming in 20 mins late in the Philippines, (Cinderella Liberty). The animals made a court martial pool for $.50 a chance on the various combinations of punishments from a summary court. We were tight. Those thoughts and feelings returned because of you guys. Thanks... Hands.

Greeting Boss Skinner, patched members, fellow prospects, & support,
Hoping this entry finds all in excellent health.
what the heck is going on with this weather here, 90's three days and then 70's for 5, raining today no humidity and the next week looks like all rain. Hope it clears up before the 4th weekend, friends and I are riding north of Pittsburgh to stay the weekend at the "Caboose Motel", it's all caboose's that were converted into motel rooms and are painted the color of the line they once were attached to.
My grandson Rocky Ace is growing like a weed, he's 9lbs 5ozs now, some babies are born at that weight. he hates baths and lets you know it, lol sounds like some old people.
new bike is running great, got hirise bars on it so far, Kerker slipons are next on the list and that will be next month.
going to order from Custom Engraving ltd a new custom derby cover with the 101st screaming eagle on it, the one from my 2012 is to small and won't fit, if anyone is interested in it we can swap or barter for a part..
well that about dose it for now, so until my next entry, god bless you all, stay safe and healthy, keep the shinny side up

Greetings to all from Wonderful Wet Western Washington. Guess the global warming bus missed our stop. Still looking forward to two weeks of Summer.
Governor has finally given us a temporary parole. With a little cooperation from my back, should be able to head out for a Northwest Region tour. Hope to see all my Region Brothers soon.

A belated greeting to all, and a special salute and well wishes to those on the sick list!
Aside from a couple of full sea bags of domestic stuff, things are fine. It looks like my phone tag with Steamer and Gearbox might be over, we plan to meet in Palm Springs, (aprox100 mi) this week. Again, they've been trying to reach me for a while and I was up to my neck in "stuff" but that's 98% over now. We have the time, date, and place to hook up. This is short msg just to ring in, I'll get back soon.

"To those who have fought for it, Life has a flavor that the protected will never know!"

I served with the 25th Infantry Division as an infantryman out of Tay Ninh, Vietnam in 1969-70. Our main objective was an enemy mountain fortress that towered over the surrounding terrain and served as a staging area for enemy soldiers coming from the last finger of the Ho Chi Minh trail several miles to the west in Cambodia. It housed an NVA general, and hospital and was protected by a large contingent of elite NVA soldiers determined to die rather than surrender the mountain. The "mountain" as it was called by all who attempted to take it guaranteed a hellacious battle with the angel of death hovering near anytime that it was our mission.

Courage on the Mountain is a captivating and true memoir with over 100 five star reviews. It was written to reach out to all of my brothers and sisters who honorably served in the war and now wear the title of "Vietnam Veteran." courageonthemountain.com Welcome home brothers! I'm proud that you made it home and am proud to have served with you!

Hi everyone! It's getting toasty down here in the Lone Star State. Twin and I took our trikes out today. I'm still getting used to riding a trike. Nocona Hills is the perfect area to practice. We have alot of hills and curvy roads. Of course it was in the triple digits outside. I think we lost 20 pounds each.
My thoughts and prayers go out to LAAM, Skinner, and Thumper. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to seeing you at Nationals next year.
That's about all for now, if I left anyone out let me know and I apologize in advance.

Greetings from Thumper and his trusty Steed, Thunder. In all seriousness, I would like to thank everyone that Sent there well wishes and greetings for my loss. No parent, should ever lose a child. Cancer is a terrible thing, My little girl, fought the good fight. But In the end, cancer raised its ugly head and took my baby away from me. You, were all there for me and I will never, ever forget it. God bless you all and may we ride strong forever. Because, in me end, it don't mean nothing.

top of the morning Boss Skinner, patched members, prospects & support,
well it's Tuesday, primary election day, heading out to vote soon.
Pittsburgh is going green on Friday, it's a start, but not good for bar owners, you can only have 50% capacity including employees, stupidity at it's best..
Got new hirise bars on my bike this past week, gonna take some time to get used of the odd angle of the handles.
Weather has been great, nice and hot during the day and cool at night, helps the electric bill for sure.
Benn seeing my grandson once a week, he's growing at the right pace.
Got the top rocker and prospect patches on my vest, just have to wait until a tailor opens to have them sewn on.
hoping the short message finds every member and their families in excellent health.
until my next entry stay safe and keep the shinny side up,

Great to hear from ya hope we can get together before the good riding time ends.I put 10 in bars on Pearl and you r right it takes a bit to get use to.Went thru ILLINOIS on week end to Perkin for a paint ball competition the grandson was in.Their team took 4th first time they placed.ILLINOIS is still under a tight space rule so getting food was a little weird.Had to call in for reservations at a bar.

Greetings to all patched members, prospects and supports.
This is a note to all prospects. I just read every post on this site. if you haven't done so, I suggest that you do it now. It would be a great way for you to learn about this club. It took several days but by the time I got through it, I felt like I new every member as if they were my own brother or sister. It was in fact, a very good read. I have never felt closer to anyone, in all my years, then I do too this Club. Thumper, over and out.

Greetings to all from your newest Prospect. Just thought I would put this out there. I was going to let the other guys choose my road name, however after careful consideration and thought process I shall now be referred to as Thumper. When we meet, I will tell you why and how I came up with that name. I hope that when this covid-19 is over we will all have a chance to get together for fun and fellowship. Till then, keep it upright and between the lines. Stay Safe. God bless you all. This is THUMPER over and out.
