First I'm beyond happy to see Boss Skinner is well on the mend and looking GREAT!!! Boss we all knew you'd kick its a$$!
Got a good ride in late last month. Rode over to Lewisburg WV then a scenic, twisty "turnpike" (more like almost 2 lanes, no guardrails, no lane markers) over to Hico to the stealership; thought I'd make my next H.O.G. riding milestone. Nope, missed it by a mere 97 miles. I guess missing by 97 is way better than missing by 1 or 2.
On that ride, scoot started leaking behind derby cover. Turns out it is warped and will need replacing. Also speedo/odo off from installing new Baker 6-spd gear set. So waiting on adapter from Baker to correct that and a derby cover. So tomorrow's ride will be on my springer. Good thing I'll have about 50 miles of relatively good road before I hit the other end of that "turnpike" to get used to riding it again, it rides and handles way differently than my Electra-Glide.
FYI, 2020 National Run patches are ordered, so that's out of the way. I'm looking forward to this year's meet. I know it'll be epic and we'll have a GREAT time!!
Looking to get another short, but fun and scenic, ride in tomorrow. Might even go today if it doesn't rain buckets. Looks clear for now.
Let's get to 11/3 so we can have a brief respite from political ads. On the other hand, 11/4 could be a bloodbath, either literal or figurative, depending. Hopefully between now and then a certain segment of our society will "grow up" and start acting like adults. Either way, 'it don't mean nothin' it's just a thing.
Peace out

Greetings, Boss Skinner, officers, patched members, fellow prospects, & support,
It's been some time since I last posted to do coming in contact with some uncaring person who was infected with influenza A.
I never have been this sick ever in my life, I felt like RoseMary and the devil raped me violently.
Last Friday I went to the funeral home and payed my respect to Ed Coyne's wife and family and said my last goodbye to my veteran brother.
The next day D9 and I went to the annual firefighters gun bash(did poorly) then to a little pub afterwards with 2 other riding couples, come Monday I'm feeling sick and Tuesday I was down and out for the count, I tried to remedy myself to no avail and finally I went to the local clinic MedExpress where I was given 500 liters fluids due to dehydration, as well as scripts for TamaFlu and a pill for nausea, feeling much better than Tuesday but not 100%. Protect yourself people when you go out into the public don't rely on other to do the right thing.
will try to post in a few day with an update.
until my next post, stay healthy my brother..

Greetings all patched, support, prospects etc. Got call from VA yesterday . Blood work on kidneys ok for CT next month. I wouldn't mind so much , but that contrast dye they use makes your face feel like its burning and you get like a antiseptic taste in lungs and mouth. But only last for little while. On side note, CT guy rides also and told me to look into site called ( thepropad.com ) . Checked it out, not bad. Giving much thought to super cruzer ft pad and large for back. They use medical gel same as wheel chairs and beds. Stay safe all. Prospect Gearbox

Testing, testing, testing.
Just a test Boss , Made a post yesterday, Hopefully came through. Thx prospect GearBox
Today could have been better, Rained like crazy. On top of that have more blood work Monday to check kidneys again . Hate fasting but goes with the territory. Then to top off CT has been rescheduled for next month. My vascular surgeon who did my AAA stent and EVAR in left ILIAC won't give me release for 1600 mile trip for Natl., said not enough time has passed for total heal yet. But not letting this BS shut me out from belonging to the best mc that was ever formed NVFFNV. Have been in touch with VP Dutch , keeping him up to date. Have to just hang in there. Like my Gram used to say ( its not sugar all the time , sometimes you have to swallow some castor oil ) Until next post , Ride safe all. prospect GearBox
You getting this Boss?
You seeing this Boss? Been writing posts submitted and said it would be reviewed and posted.
GREETINGS ALL,
contrary to speculation we ARE alive & well. We hope you all are also!
I've had more computer issues than Carter's got liver pills. Just got it back from its THIRD shop visit since returning from our cruise. Last one was to reinstall OS (Windows 10Pro) as it ate itself with its last update. So if any of you are running any version of Windows 10, I'd strongly suggest setting a restore point at least weekly as a precaution of the same happening to you. Had to replace hard drive & operating system (TWICE each), keyboard (oh on a side note, do NOT use a shop vac to vacuum dirt/dust &c off the keyboard. Turns out the keys aren't all that firmly attached :-O )
The cruise was MAGNIFICENT!! Not a single thing went wrong, no Corona virus, mojitos flowed like lava out of Kilauea, food and service could not have been better. I did manage to get a bit of a sunburn, but didn't slow me down.
Singer is already planning our next excursion.
Got the kinks worked out of Black Betty, now she's shifts better than new and no H-D "Clunk" when changing gears.
Singer is retiring sometime late in July. 20+ years with the VA plus her 6 in the Army.
Looking forward to National and meeting new Prospects, looking forward to more Brothers!!

greetings to you all,
I'm very depressed and got to put this out there, We ( as in brother of war ) me personally lost one of our kind yesterday, Marine Sgt. Edward T. Coyne of the 1st Marine division Vietnam 1970, passed away last evening. I went to high school with Ed, chummed around with him and was a brother with him in our VFW post 274 in our hometown, he will be missed. That war took it's toll on him as is does to us all in one form or another, sooner or later. Please keep his family in your prayers as I will, thank you..
E.T. Coyne you've been promoted, dismissed Marine... Squelch, Squelch.

Well it's that time of year again. It's Mardi Gra season in my little town of Nocona. There are Mardi Gra balls, dances, parades and what Nocona is known best for car shows. If you ever have a craving to see the cars you grew up with we have them and more. I can't wait for the parade, I get to collect beads, candy, and tickets for free beer from the Nocona brewery. I love this time of year. Well that's about all for now.
Later Everyone,

And don't it figure it has been in the 70's here, but that's ok, Gotta get it done, Getting ready to go to base ( shopping day ) . Ride safe all, shiny side up. GearBox
