Brothers, supports, prospects and well wishers,
it was my great pleasure to donate $100 to the Marion VA Hospital Hospice today. This was money raised by the Brothers and Support. I look forward to being able to do other veteran related charities in the future.

Greetings Brother's, Support and lookers.
Here in Southern Idaho it seems riding season is pretty much history of 2018, Fall was very kind to us this year, had nearly an extra month of saddle time, but rain, cooler weather and soon valley snow will be here.
Let us hunker down, count our Blessings and anticipate a New Year sharing our noble Brotherhood and miles of adventures on our bikes.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and the reason for it.

Brothers Support and friends,

Plumber because of heath reasons has asked that our members grant him retirement.
The Officers I contacted have accepted his request.
We want to Thank Plumber for his support and Brotherhood over the past years and wish him all the best.

Wishing all my Brothers, Supporters, Prospects- (Present and future), plus the curious, an outstanding Veteran's/Armistice Day!
This day of appreciation and love for those who served may be celebrated by the average citizen, but stays with us the entire year and every day.
Our club represents only one period in the country's history of wars, but we stand for all who came home, faced trials from that duty, and for those who never got the chance to have what we do- enjoying days like today in peace.
When someone thanks you for your service, accepted it for those who never got to hear it.
I hope all will have a chance to ride and fly our patch for all to see and remember.
It's an honor to be counted among you.
Here's to the open road, packing a light load, and a warm fire in the abode!
LLRBF,
Sling Blade

We're enjoying nice riding temperatures down here in Texas. Took a ride last weekend to the Wichita Mountains, it was great. We ate at a famous hole in the wall restaurant and then toured the Holy City. They hold one of the longest running Passion Plays in the country there every Easter. We wanted to ride to the top of Mt Scott but the road was closed due to damage from all the rain. We did stop at a neat little motorcycle shop in Medicine Park called Chaps My Ass. Overall it was a great ride.

Officers, Patchholders, Supports and well wishers
my plate has been full lately. My new Indian Scout blew a gasket on the water pump. Two weeks down.
Got her back now. In two months 2,500 miles.
The bike we have been working on for almost two
years is almost done. Will be glad to have her back in the stable. Own her since she was new in 1985,
700 Virago. Will be sporting a black chrome tank.
Making plans for a great spring run in the East.
Had a good Fall run to Pigeon Forge. Now my wife wants to go. Will take her next Spring.
Any Viet Nam Era or In Country Vets out looking for fellowship and camaraderie. Look to the contact page on our web site. You will be glad you did.
Wishing everyone a good holiday season.
Happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas.

October 23 ... I'm tap'n out on 2018
Have been scramblin' hard to get to the 500 mile break-in point on my new ride, before the snow flies and it goes up on its lift till next Spring.
Over these last 6 days or so, have been working on it, trouble is, the temperature does not move until noon. At 26 degrees, I have to pass. Have been get'n out on 34/36 degree mornings but it's hard to even ride in those temps anymore. Two days ago, I put 164 miles on the Road King, but it turned into a day where I was say'n to myself "I shouldn't be out here".
Got myself caught on a small bridge over a creek that was covered in black ice. I knew the bridge was there, so I had came to a stop just before I rolled onto it. Once I got onto that bridge, I was try'n to walk the bike over it, but my boots had no traction. I was creep'n inch by inch, just let'n my boots slide over the ice sheet. I inched across the road onto the high side and up against the guard rail. By get'n as close as I could to the guard rail and just inch'n my way forward, I finally came out the far side. Just then, two cars coming in the other direction, entered onto the bridge, spun out and crashed, then the Montana Highway Patrol showed up with lights flash'n. I was real lucky there, had I come down and hit that bridge at speed, I would have been down in a heart beat ! Had I been on the bridge when those cars spun out, that too would have been ugly. 4 hours later, I was coming back and the county truck was still try'n to de-ice it....
Two days before that, I had 3 deer run out in front of me. I cleared the 3rd deer, do'n 65 mph and at a full skid, by no more then 3 inches. Was as close as I have come up here in 16 years.
Shook me so bad I had to pull over and take a moment to regroup.
It just felt like I was "dancin' with the devil" every time I went out. Push'n my luck, but I needed those miles.
Yesterday I had put another 82 miles on, and today I went over the 500 miles, 521 in fact, so go ahead and sing Fat Lady.....I'm done !
Has been a very good year. Regional Run, National Run, and a new bike ta boot !
Steamer and I are already talk'n about make'n the ride to 2019 National together. Arizona hook'n up with Montana, that's what this Nomad Brotherhood is about !
Nothin' left to do but try'n to get some money squirreled away for next years runs.
2018, I got no complaints.

brothers, the weather has been over the scale the past couple of days down here in north central fl, like bear said good and bad that cold front that pushed the hurricane to the east and barely kept it out of my neighborhood arrived on friday night.
Awesome blue skies, o humidity, 80's low nineties daytime and 50-60's evenings.
as bear said, it is sad for those that got hit.
brother bear, glad to hear that your surgery went well.
today its been 6 weeks since mrs buda had that hysterectomy, i asked her if she was up to riding, she lit up and said YES.
we cruised the byways of rural north florida/georgia and on the way back home i noticed another rider come up quick and shadowed me, first thought that maybe it was one our 1% brethren checking me out, but he backed off and paced me, it felt good after a couple of minutes. When we arrived at high springs stop light he pulled alongside and we talked, he was a Goodfellows mc out of the tampa area coming back from a wedding in lake city fl, he asked how far we were going south and i told him we were just about home, wished he and his other half well and we parted ways shortly down the road. A perfect day for the buda man, haha

Greetings Brothers, Prospects and Support,
Happy and sad ! Happy we did'nt get much in the way of the 2 hurricanes and sad for the folks that got the worst of them. All we had was some wind and a little rain. Hope any Brothers in the path of either hurricane did ok! Health is good except went in for carpal tunnel surgery. Went well, a little pain is all. Wife is good and still the Boss, sorry Boss haha! Weather is starting to feel like Fall and I am GLAD! Hope all is well for all. Sadness for the passing of our Brother Sgt. Rock GBNF
GOD BLESS NVMC

Beautiful day and great ride through the Cascade foothills.
Fall is here, 42 on takeoff - 52 on landing. Not long now before us wet coasters get isolated in the west till spring.

Hoping all my Brothers are well and safe. Looking forward to global warming. Stay warm and dry.

I hope this find all of you well and safe. This last couple of months have been hard on my mind. I struggled with the lost of friends . The thing that helped me the most ,was knowing my Brothers in NVMC had my back. I love and respect them for that. Thank you Brothers.

Brothers, Supports, Prospects, & well-wishers.

Made it home after a short run down to FLA to see Family. Met my Sister for the second time in 61 YEARS. We were separated when very young. Thank you Ancestry DNA and Nichole.

While in Fla I got to spend time with Brother Buddha and his lovely bride, who makes AWESOME spring rolls! A long time friend I'd not seen since 1991 and on the way back got to spend time with Brother Bear and Patty. Sorry Brother Bear I couldn't stay longer and get some fishing in. Definitely next time!!

Taking a trip in a cage up north for Beth's HS reunion. I'm making HER drive most of the way. Planning on being back next Wednesday. Then I'm pretty much in for the season.

Looks like Grumpy is planning a great Regional Spring Run. Looking forward to that.

That's all the good news.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of TC. His new Club may have been closer to his home, but in corresponding with him it was plain to see NV MC was always close to his heart. I know some of us had a very good relationship with him and we will all miss him greatly.

SEMPER FI MARINE. Love you Brother

Okay, getting hard to type
