I WISH I were running marathons. Sadly, not even 5ks for me ... yet.

Doing well though. Found a great house for a decent price in my new AO. Will be in old AO for another few months though.

Other than that, not much going on with me. I suspect I'd be enjoying retirement more if not for the surgery. but the up side is, before long I'll be mended and good to go

"TO THOSE WHO HAVE FOUGHT FOR IT, LIFE HAS A FLAVOR THAT THE PROTECTED WILL NEVER KNOW!"

I came upon your site while surfing the net and knew that the above statement would have special meaning for all of you. Helicopter units delivered us, prepped our landing zones and wrought devastation upon the enemy when we needed help. Their support was invaluable and saved many lives. I served with 3/22nd, 25th Infantry Division out of Tay Ninh as an infantryman. Fought the NVA on the slopes of Nui Ba Den twice with numerous firefights in and around the area bordering the Cambodian border. The cover photo on my site looks out the front window of a Huey onto the Black Virgin Mountain. Remember your Christmas in Vietnam? Mine was spent on an ambush patrol near the Cambodian border. After 5 months in the field, I was pulled to the 93rd Evac at Long Binh to work with soldiers suffering from combat fatigue. Over the last 10 years, I chronicled my tour of duty and the response has been overwhelming. There are presently over One Hundred 5 Star Reviews worldwide

I believe that you will relate to this true story of the fight for Nui Ba Den and the struggles and sacrifices that the soldiers who served their country in Vietnam endured. Thousands of Vietnam Veterans have proudly endorsed these memoirs. Please check out the website at courageonthemountain.com with the accompanying introduction. It will make you proud for your service and all the men and women who served our country during the Vietnam war.

I proud that you made it home brother! Thank you for your service and May God Bless!

Sitting here thinking, we are a Brotherhood. Sometimes we tend to forget that. Most of us are by nature, loners. That's why we only gather on special occasions.
Now, that being said, any Brother is obligated to every other Brother by our word and bond. If you are a Patchholder, prospect or support every other member of this club is here for you. We are only a phone call, or message away. You are never alone,
never think that. It is our duty and honor to care for each other.

Brothers, still shovel'n snow up here but at least the calendar is moving in the right direction.
There's talk of a Spring Regional, the 1st for our reinstated NW Region, good work NWP Herky.
Some may have noticed a post in our GB by Ed Stanley , I want to take a moment to introduce him to our Brotherhood.
Ed and I served in Nam together, oh I don't know, something like 51 years ago ??? It's tough to say what a "lift" it was to get his email. Ed, like the rest of us took to the motorcycle and is riding today.
I considered Ed a Brother back then and I consider him a Brother today. This all goes to show, it's not that big of a world. Ed has expressed interest in our Patch, and all I got to say about that is "Welcome Home"..
So far, 2018 is shaping up to be a very good year !

Greeting and Salutations to all Brothers, Supporters, Family, Friends, and Future Associates!
2018...has a nice ring to it, don't it?
All is outstanding in my AO, it begins with the simple act of getting out of bed- and the rest is bonus with the life we live.
I really love the countdown to NR and info banner added to the page- outstanding! We are rolling into the future with a grin on our chin and fun in the sun coming any day to mark another Spring & Summer with road war stories and bragging rights!
55 days to Spring- got oil?
Now's the time to get right, learn up, rehearse our recruiting pitch to potential prospects, future brothers.
Being Nomads, each one of us is a chapter, we represent the club history, task, and purpose.
Where we step, the club is there, what we do says more about our Brotherhood than a whole webpage or hours of talking.
The Club is our symbol, our shield, our life- then and now, and the safe harbor so many of our generation long for, but can't seem to find in this throw away, superficial, glitter society- where honor is joked about and fidelity is ridiculed.
Like our page banner says, we ride as Nam Vets MC Nomad because we HAVE made a difference and want the world to remember all those who stood that line, in that time, those who fell, or never got the chance to return and tell!
Each of us is all that- Duty, Honor, Country, Brothers, Family, Friends, and those who put themselves in danger for the benefit of others.
Think, Plan, Do, Act- the world keeps turning like our motorcycle wheels!
With that I bid my goodbye, take what I said as a grain of salt or a poke in the eye, and get on your bad motor scooters and fly!

Greetings Brothers,
Hope all are doing well! As for me things couldn't be better. We have a Greatgrandson now and he is healthy, thank God !
The weather has been a little strange, lows in the teens and 5" of snow! Thought I left that stuff in N.W.Washington! Really looking forward to riding with Brothers again!
Doing a little dye work on my well worn cut and it looks pretty good, not new lookin but not raggity.
Well not to much going on here except daily grind so I will say bye for now and hope God will send blessings your way!

PS, Grumpy, I hope your wife gets well soon!

Love, Loyalty and Respect,
Brother Bear

View from my AO.

Weather is beautiful today. I'd love to throw my leg across my bike and get to it. But that's not going to happen for another couple of weeks.

The knee, It's coming along; not as quickly as I thought but apparently I'm doing a lot better than others my age. At least according to my physical therapist.

Monday I couldn't get even a quarter mile on a stationary bike. Wednesday I did a whole mile in less than 10 minutes. Yea, I know you young studs can do that in 4.

So progress is occurring.

Just wanted to touch base with my Brothers and let them know I'm still above ground. LOL

Greetings Nomads, Been thinking what a crazy world we live in. Last year this time we were in 3 1/2 feet of snow and some sub zero weather, we been in the 50's for a few days now and what moisture we have had has mostly been in the form of rain, no snow to be found here. ;). Did a bit of riding and feeling really good about this years riding adventures. Time to get earnest about our spring run here in the Northwest, I see the East Brothers already have a plan formed. (Ride on Brothers)
Days are getting longer and check Dutch's count down to National. (thanks Dutch.)
Ride when you can and Be safe out there Brothers.

Hey would you mind letting me know which web host you're working with? I've loaded your blog in 3 completely different internet browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good internet hosting provider at a fair price? Kudos, I appreciate it! bcaabccdkdca
